I had hardwood flooring installed on the top and main levels of my house. The crew were all personable and worked very efficiently as a team. They took care to ensure my comfort while I needed to stay at the house overnights during the install. Part of my project included moving furniture, the crew somehow remembered where each item went and even centered things exactly as I had them after the floor was installed. They cleaned up each day before they left and wiped everything down at the end of the project. The workmanship on the floors & especially the custom carpentry work on the stairs was impressively meticulous and precise. Everything looks amazing! First and foremost the floors are absolutely beautiful! and this old house was a challenge -- baseboards showing a half-inch gap once carpeting was removed, old patching done badly, and holes where radiator pipes had been. You did a spectacular "fix" on these!! We left town during work, and "final finish" was a just a little too tight, timewise; but, we are very happy with the final product! After another flooring contractor backed out days before our kitchen installation, Jason set up a time to meet us the next day. He came (on time!), gave us an estimate on the spot, and assured us Excel could get it taken care of for us before cabinet installation. Installation was beautiful and the hardwoods were finished to match existing flooring. Everyone at Excel was just a pleasure to work with!
